Until February 11, 2024 the CID presents Home Made. Produce, Create, Live, exploring the history and innovations of working at home.
During the Covid-19 period, photographed by Dutch photographer Christian Van der Kooy, some were able to experiment with new ways of making things at home. The Riveroshan duo, for example, reinterpreted the drawings of their little daughter who was confined to their home. Others focused on the benefits of fixing things. The Humade studio, for example, revived their porcelain repair kit developed in 2009 using the age-old Kintsugi method.
