Georges Brassens may have sung about them, but public benches are also the work of Lucile Soufflet. From Anderlecht to Mulhouse, via Mons and even Grand-Hornu, you can sit on a piece bearing the signature of one of Belgium’s most talented designers.
From March 16, the CID – Centre d’Innovation et de Design in Grand-Hornu will present Common Grounds, an exhibition dedicated entirely to the work of Lucile Soufflet. Not just benches, but also her ceramic and glass projects express the delicacy that characterizes Lucile Soufflet’s personality, as much as her rigor.
The exhibition runs until August 24 at the CID.
