To the Coal! INVITATION TO THE OPENING.
© Jesper Eriksson

From 25 September to 8 January 2023, the Grand-Hornu is exploring the very meaning of its existence. From industrial techniques to the energy emergency, coal is confused between wealth and dependence. Is it possible to use this fuel in a reasonable way? Designers, architects and visual artists are taking up the subject to propose alternative uses for this natural resource.

We invite you to the opening of the exhibition on Saturday 24 September at 6pm. A participative performance by Vivien Tauschmann is planned for the same day, within the exhibition. Invitation here.
