Art shuttle
To coincide with the "What do you want, Brick?" exhibition, the CID at Grand-Hornu is inviting you to hop on board its shuttle bus and travel to Limburg, to Lanaken to be precise, to discover the Nelissen brickworks.
Nelissen Brickworks designs facing bricks and façade insulation systems. Founded 103 years ago, the local family business has now become a major player on the international market: Nelissen Briqueteries can produce 185 million bricks a year, in over 100 colours and 10 formats!
Programme
- 8.30: departure from Grand-Hornu
- 10.30: arrival at the Nelissen site
- 11.00-12.00: production
- 12.00-13.00: lunch (sandwiches) provided by Nelissen
- 13.00-14.00: visit to the showroom
- 16.00: as a snack, enjoy a piece of Limburgse Vlaai with a drink at the K-Kanne restaurant in Riemst
