Family visits, storytelling tours, children's workshops and film projections- Christmas is magical, fun and inventive in the company of the CID and MACS teams, who are waiting for you under the Christmas tree.
From December 26 to January 7, experience "Christmas in Grand-Hornu". The CID - Center for Innovation and Design, and the MACS - Museum of Contemporary Arts, are working around the clock to make sure you have a great afternoon. Children, parents, grandparents - everyone is welcome.
With Christmas decorations, mobiles and jewelry-making workshops, storytelling tours through the exhibitions and film screenings, the program is sure to be a rich one.
Here's the program:
- December 26 and 30, January 2 and 6: we look forward to welcoming you for a guided tour of the "Home Made. Create, Produce, Live" exhibition followdd by a Christmas decorations workshop. where your inventive genius will embellish your home during the vacations.
- December 27 and January 3: creative mobile workshop based on the exhibitions "Les Saisons" by Lionel Estève and "Honeyguides and Milk Teeth" by Jochen Lempert.
- December 28: film screening of "The Grinch" followed by a snack.
- December 29 and January 5: storytelling stroll through the exhibitions "Les Saisons" by Lionel Estève and "Honeyguides and Milk Teeth" by Jochen Lempert, accompanied by the storyteller Christine Andrien (from 2pm to 3pm).
- Thursday January 4: film screening of "The Nightmare before Christmas " (french version) followed by a snack.
- Sunday January 7: Creative jewelry workshop for children aged 8 to 13.
Activities take place in the afternoons, from 2pm to 4pm (unless otherwise indicated).
Please note that the Grand-Hornu will be closed on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.
